We control all aspects of growing onsite to provide the best plants possible. Buy with 100% confidence because we offer a warranty on all plants when you buy online, through our design professionals, and at our garden centers. All plant purchases come with instructions on planting, pruning, and how to care for your shrub, perennial, or tree. If you live within 100 miles of Waterloo, WI, we offer larger plants and trees to be delivered by our own fleet of trucks. Just check the “Local Delivery” box when checking out. We also provide shipping nationwide. Please note, our nationwide shipping services are not able to ship larger items due to size and weight limitations.

Garden Center - shop plants in person

McKay Nursery’s headquarters is in Waterloo, WI, and is a working nursery. For safety reasons, we do not allow visitors to select plants from our nursery fields. If you want to see plants in person and buy them on the spot, our garden centers are the place to go. We carry a wide selection of healthy and happy nursery stock.

We call our Landscape designers Design Pros. We have many of our Design Pros located in Wisconsin, northern Illinois and parts of Minnesota ready to help you find the right planting for your particular taste and area. Our designers help you select from hundreds of choices and thousands of sizes. They are extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. McKay Nursery is the largest and one of the oldest nurseries in Wisconsin. Founded by William McKay in southern Wisconsin in 1897, we have been specializing in hardy, northern grown nursery stock for over 125 years. We are a leader in the wholesale nursery trade, providing bare root trees and shrubs, balled and burlapped trees, evergreens, and potted nursery stock to customers all the way from Alaska to Maine.
